Player Report

Player: Rabey, Jeff
School: Kalamazoo Valley Community College
Grade: JC Sophomore
Position: Post
Physical Characteristics
Height: 7' 0"
Weight: 260
Dominant Hand: Right

Ball Skills: Handles the ball real well for big man. Can dribble the court under control. Has good hands and is an excellent passer.
Shot Selection/Range: Use to rely on face up jump shot in high school. Now has developed drop step power move and because of his size, is almost unstoppable. A good free throw shooter when he concentrates. Getting better with short range hook shots. Because of habits he developed in high school, he considers himself a better face up shooter than power player. Can shoot the three pointer.
Conduct/Attitude: Has tendency to get down on himself when not on his game. More of a follower than leader. Doesn't know the limits of his potential because he hasn't really pushed himself. At times, will lose his focus in games. All of this will improve with maturity.
Offensively: Could become a force offensively once he decides to dedicate himself to becoming the best he can be. Can score inside and out, but needs to assert himself more. Because of his height and size, gets opportunity for a lot of offensive rebounds. Slow feet but can run the floor.
Defensively: A big time rebounder who would become legendary if he was more aggressive. Averages double figures in rebounds now and could easily increase that number by 4 to 6 with more effort. He does present a large presence in the middle. Clogs the middle effectively in zone defenses. Has tendency to pick up "cheap" fouls.
Games Scouted/Circumstances: Against a strong Lansing Community College team (27 point and 21 rebounds); Lake Michigan Community College (13 points and 11 rebounds) and Calvin College Junior Varsity (10 points and 10 rebounds).
Projected Level of Play: Mid-level Division 1.
